A seasoned and strategic family law lawyer, Simon has practised law for over 40 years. He is an accredited specialist in family law, granted by the Queensland Law Society and recognised by the Law Institute of Victoria.
Simon's focus is to help clients resolve their issues and seek a positive result with the least stress. He achieves this by helping clients navigate their personal and legal challenges with compassion and empathy, underpinned by his expertise and legal acumen.
Simon started his career in Cairns, handling family law, personal injury, and civil litigation for plaintiffs and defendants, including advocacy in the Magistrates’ Court and instructing counsel in superior courts. He worked as a solicitor for firms in Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, and Gold Coast specialising in personal injury and family law, becoming an accredited specialist in both areas.
He was admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 1978, and the High Court of Australia in 1980. He moved to Melbourne in 2021 and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria.
